Props

Property modeling, or prop in short, is when you create models for the different objects that are required for the set or scene. If it is an office interior model, your props could be tables, computer, chair etc.

They can literally be anything: objects that the avatar interacts with, background props (decorative), wearable props (clothes that can be attached on the avatar: hats, glasses, moustache etc.)

For Props we will use a dedicated bone set, and it should be named as follows: "Prop" + “bodypart”

e.g. “HelmetHead”

We will have extra bones in the following areas:

    • Head (the bone will be placed above the head and it will serve to attach hats, horns or various items that can be placed on the head)

    • Face (the bone is placed between the nose and the upper lip, you can attach the mustache/facial hair)

    • Eyes (is located between the eyes, at the base of the nasal pyramid and can be attached to glasses or other eye enhancements)

    • Chin (the bone is placed between the nose and upper lip, you can attach beard/facial hair)

    • Hand (it’s at the palm of the hand and you can attach swords, shields, bottles, pans or other items that can be held in hand)

There are no limitations to the bones we proposed, you may as well add the bones you need in your build, and they will be recognized by the naming convention in the import process.

The customization maps must have only RGB
